I began my coaching career as a Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach working with programs such as Lock Haven University, Penn State Football and Michigan State University. It became clear to me early on there was a difference between performance and simply looking strong. This concept has led me on a quest to seek the end-range of human potential. In addition to improving one’s ability I recognized the importance of athleticism, specifically speed, balance, agility, flexibility and coordination.
My interests now lie in showing everyday people, as well as conditioned athletes, the limitless benefits of improving one’s personal physical capacities. The needs of Olympic athletes, military, fire fighters, mothers and grandfathers differ in degree, not kind. By gradually introducing people to the benefits of functional movements and increased work capacity, everyone has the ability to be the best they can be. I have long felt the greatest gift I’ve ever imparted to someone is not just improved fitness, but an increased sense of confidence!
